I clicked on this poster because it looked easy to read, not overly complex in information and use of colour, and it communicated to me a modern design quality. I appreciate how you’ve left-justified the main lines of text, because it makes it easier for someone to read as they glance at it in the stairwell.
The logo you’ve designed for TRAC is placed nicely at the top, the faint blue tone is a perfect balance to keep it prominent, but not super flashy. The words “Kick Off” are the attention grabbers, which is good to have as the first thing the reader sees.
I also like the period at the end of “Kick Off Event.” It seems confident and direct to me as the reader, and also gives the single word in the second line (“Event”) some security.
Your typefaces work well together: the scripted title and the serif tagline. The two styles compliment each other, creating balance of type which the eye reads easily.
The graphic of the people at the bottom speaks to the subject of the event; silhouettes are always intriguing. The way you’ve put them at the bottom and used the sky as copy-space give the words and info on the poster more space to exist, also increasing readability.
The Instagram logo at the bottom works well in how it has slightly different colours than the app icon, but it blends into the black. Also, people can recognise it easily.
Well done! I expect to see this up around campus soon!
